Adults & Families

20s & 30s Young Adults
Our Young Adults group meets on a monthly basis in the Guild Room for fun and conversation. They also plan regular ministry and mission projects in the area. Their ministry can be found here as a Facebook group. Feel free to request to join!

Faith Formation Hour
During the program year (Labor Day through Memorial Day) we gather after the 10am liturgy at 11:30am for conversation and teaching around the Christian life. Our gatherings are often discussion based and draw from a variety of leaders, presenters, and perspectives. Father Jared often offers forums on Anglican theology and spirituality alongside forums on current events.

Family Night
Once a month we have a family-friendly activity—games, movies, something else—to bring our parents and kids together. Sometimes it is more older kid and adult focused and we provide childcare for other kids. A meal is almost always included. To find out more about the next gathering, click here to contact the parish office.

Movie Group
Movie Night provides an opportunity to address timely and current issues within a spiritual context by using a variety of film genres to generate discussion. All members, friends of the church, and the greater community are invited to share their perspectives. Each person is asked to bring a finger snack, $5 for pizza and their own beverage.  We meet the third Thursday of each month in the Guild Room, 5:30 p.m.  The movie begins at 6:00 p.m. Follow the Movie Group on Facebook here.

Rector’s Forum
During the program year (Labor Day through Memorial Day) each Monday night at 8pm, Father Jared hosts the current Rector’s Forum. Currently, they are working through an Introduction to the Hebrew Bible , crafted and led by Father Jared. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a minor in Biblical Languages (he even tutored the Old Testament survey course at his college!) This provides a strong foundation to the course. You can get the benefit of what he learned from several years of tutoring that course—supplemented by three more degrees in theology and more than a decade as a priest. During the summer months he hosts a Rector’s Book Club— click here to find out about the books we’ll be reading and discussing.

Shepherding Ministry Team
In a church of any size, it can be hard to keep an eye on the edges of the flock. Our Shepherding Team tries to do just that. They are attentive to those at the edges who are exploring our community of faith and try to be helpful to guiding them further in. Similarly, they keep an eye on those who may be moving toward the edges or disconnecting from community, to ensure we are caring for one another well. For more information on how you can help with this ministry, please contact our rector.
