About the event

This year on Martin Luther King, Jr., day, we will continue our traditional day of readings.  From 9:00am until 7:00pm, our Nave will be open and we will be hosting a continuous reading from Dr. King’s sermons and letters.  A large book of readings will be in the pulpit of the Nave and parishioners are invited to sign up for a half hour slot to be the Readings Leader, reading from the book for that half hour. Those who come may also take over the readings from the Readings Leader for a period of time if they would like. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend to hear these powerful and important words. Please sign up below if you would like to serve as a Readings Leader for a half hour, ensuring the readings continue uninterrupted throughout the day. And if you have a moment during the day, consider coming by the church to listen and find yourself inspired by Dr. King’s words to work for greater justice and equality in our own time.
